The beautiful new Buddha is located on a 400+ meter high mountain and overlooks Phang Nga Bay, Krabi and all the Phuket West coast as well. It is just 10 minutes away from the Mangosteen Boutique Resort. Obviously, we are offering a trip up to see the Big Buddha as well as Chalong Temple, the most popular temple in Phuket. Both highlights of Phuket Island are combined in a half day tour from The Mangosteen. Construction of the Buddha started in 2005 and completed end of 2008. It is covered with Burmese white Platinum and sparkles in the sun beautifully.
